Why and how you should get involved
Industry professionals and academia are encouraged to participate in the adria activities in order to benefit from the offered services free of charge. Networking meetings, working group meeting or roadmapping meetings are organized within the different workpackages. adria provides the framework for these meetings, manages all organizational issues, e.g. the recording of results, the preparation of the minutes, and the follow-up.
Why you should participate:
- look into the future
adria will implement a European Advanced Displays Roadmap (ADR). Within the roadmapping process, future scenarios for display applications, technologies and innovation will be developed. Market opportunities and technology gaps to overcome will be identified. The ADR will help decision makers in the industry to adjust their business strategies and investment decisions to possible future scenarios and boundary conditions.

- increase your visibility
Whether you are a company, a university or a research institute, adria can help you to attract your customer's attention: adria will set-up a comprehensive web-based FPD branch directory being a gateway to the European organizations active in FPDs.
- use adria as a networking platform
adria is created in order to help the European FPD community to network and to collaborate: adria can be used as a dissemination platform to make research results, new products, materials, processes etc. known to the other players in Europe and the rest of the world. adria will provide a web-based dissemination platform and a newsletter service.
- contribute to the dialogue with the European Commission
The technology gaps as identified within the adria roadmap can help the European Commission to streamline their future funding activities. Thus, by participating in the roadmapping exercise, the European FPD community has the opportunity to support the European Commission in the set-up process of future Framework Programmes, addressing its research needs.
- make yourself heard in international standards making
adria will provide a condensed view of display standards related to the production process and materials, metrology, ergonomics and design, and recycling. It will provide a network for collaboration on European level and will thus reinforce the European impact in global standards making.
- get access to highly qualified students and trained personnel
adria will organize training workshops for industry professionals, tailored to industry needs. Education will be developed towards a common European curriculum (European Display Masters Degree) to enhance student exchange.
