Why and how it started
Europe is a great place with a lot of diverse avtivities in the displays and organic electronics field and there have been lists of companies on paper around for quite some time. We thought that it is a lot more convenient to have comprehensive information promtly available, always updated, from a neutral, reliable source, and searchable.
That's why we invested in the first European-wide web-based competence mapping database.

How it works
- You can enter your profile directly into our database. First register and become a user of our forum. Already 1,900 individuals have done that by now. Login and go to the competence mapping application. Please find further explanations below.
- You can fill out a paper form and fax it to the number indicated on the form. We will then insert your profile and ask you for approval.
It takes some 15 min. to insert the information - your benefits definitely last!
How to register
Simply go to the registration page. During registration you will have to enter basic information concerning your person and your organisation. Your eMail address is your "ID card". It's very simple.
After receiving an automatically generated password by eMail you can log in. You can change your password in the profile section.
You reach the competence mapping area directly in the forum header line and you are ready to go!
How to enter a profile
Clicking the Create new/manage your Research Activities or Create new/manage your Products / Services will lead you to the entry page and a listing of your already existing entries. Please refer to the following examples to learn more about the descriptions that can be entered into the mapping application:
- research activities (view example)
- products / services (view example).
NB: The adria database is designed for the entry of "research activities" rather than "research projects". A "research project" comprises a multitude of "research activities" which are carried out by various partners (organisations) of the project consortium.
The number of profiles for an organisation is basically unlimited. Each organisation active in the field of advanced displays, organic electronics or related fields can enter profiles.
